HOTELS: SuperClubs Confirms Breezes Trelawny Closing

SuperClubs confirms that the 349-room Breezes Trelawny Resort & Spa (pictured) in Jamaica will close May 31 because it's being sold to another hotel company. SuperClubs will contact agents whose clients are booked at the property after that date to make alternate arrangements.

Starwood unveiled the 493-room Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa (an existing Loews hotel that underwent $4 million in upgrades to transition to the Westin brand). The resort offers several restaurants and bars, a large spa, two pools, beaches, and other amenities.

Hyatt will return to Puerto Rico with its new deal to manage the 156-room Hyatt Place Bayamon and El Tropical Casino when it opens in early 2014. The hotel will offer a main restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool (plus the casino). See www.hyattplace.com. Also, Hyatt welcomed the 185-room Park Hyatt Hyderabad as the brand's first location in India. The hotel has four dining venues and bars, a large spa, and a fitness center with a pool and gym.

Accor welcomed the 185-room Ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road in India, complete with a main restaurant and bar and other guest services.

The 330-room Pan Pacific Tianjin will debut in northern China next year with two dining venues, a lobby lounge, an indoor pool, a health club and spa, and other amenities.

TravelPulse reports that Shangri-La will open a new 566-room location in Harbin, China, in 2015. The property will feature several dining venues and bars, a Horizon Club retreat, a health club with indoor pools, a spa, a bowling alley, and "family karaoke television rooms."
